Legal Administrative Assistant- Litigation

Job Description

Connect Staffing seeks Legal Administrative Assistant candidates with litigation experience for an opportunity with an outstanding, large law firm client. This LAA will provide a range of administrative support to a busy litigation team. This is an onsite position located in the Atlanta office.

Our client is a leading law firm with offices across the country. This firm offers an excellent workplace culture and a competitive compensation package, including benefits. 

Duties:

  • Maintaining electronic and paper files
  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading pleadings, discovery, letters, and other legal documents
  • E-filing documents in state and federal courts
  • Logging and processing docketing requests
  • Managing attorney calendars and schedules
  • Arranging and preparing for conference calls and meetings
  • Handling time entries for attorneys and assisting with client billing
  • Handling initial conflicts checks and opening/closing client matters
  • Managing attorney travel and expense reporting
  • Answering and directing phone calls, opening incoming mail, and communicating with clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal administrative role within a mid to large-sized firm required
  • Prior experience in litigation required; commercial, products liability, or personal injury litigation preferred
  • Familiarity with NetDocs, CompuLaw, legal billing software, MS Office, MS Teams, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
